IPAD DONATION

Rotary Club of Richmond generously donated brand new IPADS to Kiwanis Towers.  Kiwanis Towers will be opening a computer room for the seniors.  The seniors will be able to use the new IPADs once the computer room opens in the near future.

AUGUST 2022 Kiwanis END OF SUMMER BBQ 

A successful event hosted by the Richmond Kiwanis Senior Citizens Housing Society with approx. 200 seniors attending,  The seniors enjoyed the live music, community groups, Mayor and Council members and of course, the lunch.  Major sponsors included the City of Richmond, Telus and AWM Alliance Real Estate Group..

TOWNHALL with MP BAINS, MP MIAO & MINISTER KHERA

President, Cindy Chan & Manager, Milan Kljajic attended a townhall meeting.  Minister of Seniors, Kamal Khera explained what the ministry has been doing, current services and programs available and policies for Seniors.  Good discussions on collaboration with grants, services and affordable housing for seniors.

Kiwanis Board of Directors REALLY CARE about THE elderly residents

The Richmond Kiwanis Club in collaboration with the Richmond Kiwanis Senior Citizens Housing Society purchased and distributed 25,000 masks to all the residents living at Kiwanis Towers in 2021.

December 2020 We have donated $1000 to support the Richmond Food Bank Society.

The Kiwanis Club of Richmond generously donated $1000 and continues the ongoing support for the Richmond Food Bank Society.  The Richmond Food Bank gives healthy and nutritional balanced food to more than 2200 people that are in need for food in a typical week.

December 2020 The Richmond Kiwanis club donated $1000 to support the Salvation Army

The Kiwanis Club of Richmond continues to support the Salvation Army with a cheque for $1000.  The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people in 400 communities across Canada.

June 2020 Mask Donation from Quanzhou Friendship Society of Canada

Kiwanis received a donation of 2000 masks from Quanzhou Friendship Society of Canada coordinated through the local MLA’s Constituency Office, Teresa Wat.  Masks were distributed to 190 residents.

March 2020 – The Richmond Kiwanis Club generously donate $3200 to the Richmond Centre for Disability.

The Richmond Kiwanis Club generously donate $3200 to the Richmond Centre for Disability (RCD).  The (RCD) provides service to entire communities on disability issues.

Kiwanis held a BBQ lunch for 150 residents.  Guest included local MLAs and the Leader of BC Liberal Party.
